Marc Hamelin, General Manager – Montreal

Marc has been working for the Aegis Media group for 15 years - taking care of a number of clients across multiple categories. His deep knowledge of various categories has given him a wide vision on several types of campaigns, whether it’s image or promotional. At Vizeum Montreal, he is mainly responsible for client relations and development.

Adrian is considered one of the top agency leaders in digital in Canada. His career began at IBM and has focused on the interchange of business, technology and advertising. From IBM, Adrian joined Rare Medium agency to help build their Canadian operations. He was also instrumental in the transition of the core team to create Publicis Canada’s first digital team in 2001. Adrian then joined FUSE Marketing Group to build their digital business, expanding it from 3% to over 30% of the firm’s revenue. In 2008, he launched the digital innovation agency Quizative, which was later acquired by Cundari Group. Adrian led the globally acclaimed digital team at Cundari three years before moving on to become President of Proximity/BBDO in Canada. Adrian has used his MBA and technology experience to help a diverse portfolio of clients leverage the changes in the digital economy, resulting in a closer connection with audiences sought and the establishment of longstanding, trusted client partnerships. Adrian is actively engaged in the marketing community. He chairs numerous national conferences and award shows including events presented by the Canadian Marketing Association and Marketing. He has also created and taught CMA digital marketing classes to educate the next generation of digital leaders. Adrian is sought after to speak at universities and has been featured widely in the media, including expert appearances on primetime TV shows on CBC, Global, and The Food Network. He also serves as Board Vice-Chair of the Heart and Stroke’s Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery.
